Patient Services Coordinator

Overview The Patient Services Coordinator is accountable and responsible for checking out patients at the completion of their appointment. Duties include greeting patients at registration, confirming details, collecting patient information and payments, and scheduling appointments in practice management and electronic medical record software. The role requires a positive attitude and strong customer service skills. Role and Responsibilities Consistently demonstrate the organization’s mission, core values, and policies. Know and adhere to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety, and medical information. Facilitate patients through the check‑out process. Schedule and collect payment. Input and scan patient data accurately into the EMR system. Participate in department meetings. Qualifications and Education Requirements Proficient in typing and basic computer literacy. Experience with practice management software. Customer service experience. Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (required). Minimum 1 year of experience as a medical receptionist (preferred). Preferred Skills Knowledge of health insurance benefit plans, copays, deductibles, and coinsurance. Flexibility to adjust schedule when needed. Ability to work with a team and possibly travel to other locations. Fluency in Spanish (preferred). Ideal Candidate Dependable. People‑oriented.
