Special Education Teachers are needed for a rewarding contract assignment serving students in a supportive educational environment located near Canton, MI. This long-term opportunity begins in August and is expected to run through December, with the potential for extension through June 10th. As a crucial member of the team, you'll be providing high-quality instruction to students with diverse needs and making a meaningful impact in their daily lives.

Key qualifications and experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (LBS1 required)
• Experience working with students with varying abilities, preferably in a school setting
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Flexibility to adapt to changing classroom needs and schedules
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing tailored instruction and support to students based on IEP goals
• Collaborating closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Monitoring and documenting student progress and adjusting interventions as needed
• Participating in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development
• Maintaining a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and social-emotional growth
