Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant DraftKings is a technology company headquartered in Boston. Key Responsibilities Support designated areas of the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare and maintain account reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed. Assist with General Ledger activities, including journal entries, account analysis, and supporting documentation. Execute established internal controls and support compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Partner with Finance and cross‑functional teams to support accounting projects and business initiatives. Help identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase operational efficiency. Assist with audit requests by preparing documentation and supporting internal and external audit activities. Contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting high‑quality financial reporting. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Approximately 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting and/or a fast‑paced corporate environment. Foundational knowledge of General Ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month‑end close processes. Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams. A willingness to learn, take initiative, and continuously improve accounting processes. Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel is preferred. CPA eligibility or progress toward CPA certification is a plus. Compensation The US base salary range for this full‑time position is 55,400.00 USD – 69,300.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable.
