Purpose Statement The job of Campus Support is carried out to provide assistance to the instructional process. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety and welfare of students across various support service areas such as noon duty coverage, AM/PM duty coverage, classroom assistance, crosswalk coverage, and other tasks as needed on campus. This position reports to the Building Administrator. Campus Support Location: Eagle Ridge Elementary School Duration: 9 months, various shifts available Grade: 10, $15.15/hour Type: Non‑Interim Position Dates: 8/03/2026 – 5/27/2027 Essential Functions Assist students to provide safe access to and from assigned locations. Communicate safety and security policies and enforcement procedures to students, staff, and visitors, ensuring their understanding and the consequences of violations. Maintain job‑related equipment such as stop signs, jackets, sandbags, and flags to ensure availability of required items. Monitor students individually or in groups in settings including classrooms, playgrounds, field trips, between periods, libraries, lunchrooms, and bus loading/unloading, ensuring student compliance with guidelines and a safe learning environment. Monitor student behavior entering and exiting school grounds, ensuring compliance with established guidelines and maintaining a safe environment. Refer incidents such as personal injuries, altercations, suspicious activities, and rule violations to appropriate site personnel for follow‑up in line with administrative, security, and safety guidelines. Report observations and incidents related to specific students (e.g., accidents, fights, inappropriate social behavior, violations of rules, safety conditions) to appropriate instructional or administrative personnel. Respond to inquiries from students and parents regarding campus security issues, providing information, direction, or referrals for addressing inquiries. Respond to a variety of situations, including accidents and injuries, taking appropriate action to resolve immediate safety or security concerns. Support classroom teachers and other school personnel in ensuring a safe and positive learning environment. Other Functions Participate in unit meetings, in‑service training, workshops, etc. to convey and/or gather information required to perform job functions. Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Skills: Adhere to safety practices; enforce rules and regulations. Knowledge: Basic math; understand written procedures; write routine documents; speak clearly; understand complex, multi‑step written and oral instructions related to safety practices, procedures, and traffic laws. Abilities: Schedule activities; collate data; use basic job‑related equipment; work flexibly with others; solve problems, identify issues, and create action plans. Display tact and courtesy; remain attentive to detail; maintain confidentiality. Responsibilities Work under direct supervision using standardized routines, provide information or advice to others, and continually impact the organization’s services. Work Environment Typical physical demands include some lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and fine finger dexterity. The job requires approximately 40% sitting, 30% walking, and 30% standing, performed under temperature extremes and potential risk of injury or illness. Experience Job‑related experience is desired. Education High school diploma or equivalent. Clearances Criminal Background Clearance. Valid Arizona DPS Level I IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
