Occupational Therapist (OT) | Fredericksburg, VA 22407 | K–12 School-Based Position

We're seeking a dedicated and student-focused Occupational Therapist (OT) to support K–12 students within a school district in Fredericksburg, VA. This is an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students develop the skills needed for academic success and daily living.

• K–12 Student Population
• Full-Time Schedule
• Approximately 37.5 Hours Per Week
• Follows School District Calendar
• School Holidays and Breaks Observed
• On-Site Position

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services in accordance with student IEPs
• Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families
• Support students with fine motor development, sensory processing, self-regulation, and functional independence
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring
• Promote student success across academic, social, and functional environments

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Active Virginia Occupational Therapy License or ability to obtain
• NBCOT Certification Required
• Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Passion for supporting students with diverse learning and developmental needs
