Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

In this contract role, you'll partner with educators, families, and fellow specialists to create supportive environments where students can thrive both in the classroom and beyond.

Your role centers on designing and providing effective occupational therapy services tailored to meet the needs of individual students. Your expertise will facilitate improvements in their daily function, support academic achievement, and promote greater independence.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative OT services as outlined in students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for growth
• Develop, implement, and periodically update individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with teachers, special education personnel, and families to integrate OT strategies into daily routines
• Maintain meticulous documentation to ensure compliance with all state and district regulations
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, assisting with the creation of achievable, impactful goals
• Support students’ fine motor skills, sensory regulation, and overall functional abilities within the school environment

Qualifications Needed:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Active Virginia OT license (or eligibility to obtain)
• NBCOT certification
• School-based experience is valued, but not required
• Strong skills in communication, teamwork, and problem solving

Schedule Details:

• Full-time position: Approximately 37.5 hours per week
• Follows the academic calendar with all school holidays and breaks observed
