The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is dedicated to high quality medical student, resident, and fellow education, excellence in patient care, and advancing science through clinical trials and research. The department supports clinical care and career development in general psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, consultation‑liaison psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, and neuromodulation including electroconvulsive therapy and transcranial magnetic stimulation. Essential Functions Clinical supervision, mentoring, preceptorships and training of medical students, psychiatry residents, and clinical fellows in mental health related fields. Formal and informal lectures on research design, mood disorders, psychopharmacology, and curriculum evaluations. Clinical research as principal investigator, co‑investigator, and/or sub‑investigator in NIH and industry‑funded studies. Clinical evaluations, diagnostic assessments, standardized psychometric evaluations, treatment and follow‑up of adults with mood and psychotic disorders incidental to research. Train and supervise research assistants, postgraduate students, and nurses in clinical research protocols. Opportunity for administrative and leadership roles, participation in quality improvement, peer supervision, and formal mentorship. Minimum Requirements Medical Degree (MD or DO), or equivalent. Ohio Clinical Research Faculty Certificate. Completion of 48 months of residency/training in Psychiatry. Physical Requirements / Work Environment Office environment.
