The University of Cincinnati’s Department of Biological Sciences has been home to a long-time and continuing strength in Sensory Biology and Behavior . This strength is embedded within a broader set of strengths related to sensing, perception, and sensor technology development across campus, from a large cluster of faculty working in sensing in the College of Engineering and Applied Science to theCenter for Cognition, Action and Perception , to theInstitute for Research in Sensing (IRiS) . Here in Biological Sciences, we are seeking to continue building on those strengths through this and upcoming hires, which we hope will bring in exciting new colleagues and research programs that synergize with and expand our research leadership in these areas. The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Cincinnati seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Computational Neuroscience with research areas including, but not limited to: Modeling and method development for analyzing nervous system function Computation and function of sensory systems and their interactions Theoretical analysis of neural and behavioral processes Modeling of neural circuits underlying behavior Information processing and computational principles in neurons and neural circuits The use of robotics, big data, machine learning, and/or artificial intelligence in research If searching for the job ad, please useReq #100084. #J-18808-Ljbffr Society for Integrative & Comparative Biology
