Take the next step in your special education career supporting elementary students as a part-time Special Education Teacher on a contract basis for the 2026-2027 school year. This rewarding opportunity is ideal for an educator looking for a 0.5 FTE role, providing approximately 18 hours per week with a Monday through Friday schedule.

You’ll work with an ABS caseload at the elementary level, collaborating with staff to ensure every student receives the individualized attention they need to thrive. The assignment runs from August 25, 2026, through June 10, 2027, giving you a full academic year to make a meaningful impact.

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
• Experience with ABS caseloads or similar populations at the elementary level preferred
• Strong understanding of IEPs, special education compliance, and best practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs
• Current resume required to be considered

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support an elementary ABS caseload
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with district and state guidelines
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
• Conduct assessments and provide progress updates to families and team members
