Med/Surg RN Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - must meet state licensure requirements for Ohio assignment
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) RN experience
• Ability and willingness to work night shifts (12-hour nights)
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (health screenings, background checks, skills checklist)
• Up-to-date immunizations: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza, TB screening
• Completed Physical/Health Statement
• Valid Driver's License or State ID
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and patient documentation skills (Medical-Surgical nursing)

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on the Medical/Surgical unit (patient assessment, monitoring, and interventions)
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately in the medical record
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and escalate concerns per unit protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Provide patient and family education for recovery, discharge planning, and transitional care
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices
