Compensation: Uncapped Commissions & Performance Bonuses (Target Earnings: $30,000 – $195,000+ / year)

​ Overview: ​Potomac Roofing LLC is looking for energetic, goal-driven Roofing Sales Canvassers to serve as the face of our company in neighborhoods across Northern Virginia and the surrounding areas. In this role, you will connect directly with local homeowners—particularly in neighborhoods affected by recent storm activity, hail, and wind—to educate them on the importance of roof health and offer complimentary, professional roof inspections. ​Your goal is not to close high-ticket contracts on the spot; your focus is generating interest, identifying homes with visible roof wear or storm damage, and scheduling free inspections for our Insurance Claims Specialists and Senior Project Managers.

​Key Responsibilities ​Door-to-Door Community Outreach : Canvas designated residential neighborhoods to introduce Potomac Roofing’s premium replacement, repair, and storm restoration services. ​

Appointment Setting : Schedule qualified, no-obligation roof inspection appointments between homeowners and our Field Claims Specialists. ​

Property Observation : Identify visible signs of aging shingles, missing tabs, wind displacement, or hail impacts from ground level to inform your door pitch. ​

Local Market Engagement : Deliver promotional materials, leave informational door hangers, and serve as a reliable, knowledgeable point of contact for local homeowners. ​

Lead & Activity Logging: Track daily contact metrics, address logs, and scheduled appointments through our mobile sales tracking app. ​

Training & Team Alignment : Attend weekly sales huddles, pitch workshops, and field training sessions to hone your communication and objection-handling skills.

​Qualifications & Requirements ​Communication & Personal Charm : Confident, articulate, and comfortable initiating conversations with new people in a professional manner. ​Self-Motivation & Grit : Strong work ethic with an eager, results-driven attitude and the drive to meet daily inspection targets. ​Physical Capability : Comfortable walking neighborhoods and standing outdoors for extended periods (4–6 hours daily) in various weather conditions. ​Reliable Transportation : Valid driver’s license and access to reliable personal transportation to travel between assigned Northern Virginia job sites. ​ Experience : Backgrounds in customer service, hospitality, retail, or door-to-door sales are a plus—no prior roofing or insurance knowledge required (paid field training provided).

The Sales reps main task is to set the homeowner up with a Lead Sales Manager whom can inspect the roof and document all damages. Once the damage is located (from storms within a 2 year term) we help the homeowner file a Claim through insurance for a replacement. Targeting a high approval rate for roofs between 20 to 30 years in age.

Instead of paying for a full replacement, homeowners only have to cover their deductible cost. You are here to inform them that is no gimmick, but in reality a chance to build awareness.

We give homeowners a chance to get results back from the coverage they've been paying for!
