Our client, a growing manufacturer and distributor within the packaging and industrial supplies industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a product-based business, a strong understanding of inventory accounting, and hands-on experience using NetSuite in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance

• Manage daily accounting activities within NetSuite.
• Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate inventory and cost accounting records.
• Review inventory adjustments and costing transactions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Support external accountants during tax preparation.
• Monitor financial data accuracy and maintain organized records.
• Assist with budgeting and inventory planning activities.

Administrative Support

• Assist with employee onboarding paperwork.
• Support document management and company recordkeeping.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding billing and account inquiries.
• Provide general administrative support to management as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Professional experience using NetSuite.
• Experience with inventory accounting and product-based businesses.
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• English required; Spanish preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, or other inventory-based industries.
• Participation in month-end close.
• Inventory costing and adjustments.
• Financial reporting.
