General Description: The Human Resources Intern provides administrative and project support to the Human Resources Operations team while gaining practical experience in a professional HR environment. This position assists with a variety of HR initiatives and daily operational activities, offering exposure to onboarding, employee records management, offboarding, compliance activities, employee engagement programs, and other core human resources functions. The role is designed to support organizational goals while providing meaningful learning and development opportunities. Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions: Assist with day-to-day Human Resources administrative operations and special projects. Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire paperwork, orientation materials, and employee records. Assist with maintaining and updating employee files, databases, and HR documentation while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Support the coordination of department meetings, HR events, and employee engagement initiatives. Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other HR-related materials, as requested. Provide excellent internal customer service by responding to routine inquiries and directing questions to appropriate HR team members. Assist with compliance-related activities, audits, record retention, and policy administration. Work collaboratively with Human Resources team members on departmental initiatives and organizational projects Expected to maintain a regular and predictable work schedule and full attention to and engagement in work activities on behalf of the firm during business hours unless otherwise approved or required by applicable law. Special projects and duties as assigned. Required Qualifications & Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program, or a recent graduate. No prior professional work experience required. Basic proficiency with common office software, including Microsoft Office. Interest in gaining experience in a corporate or organizational setting. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic analytical, problem-solving, and research skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information. Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Demonstrated professionalism, initiative, and willingness to learn. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
