Accounts Payable Clerk

Our Client is seeking an organized, detail-oriented AP Clerk to oversee full-cycle accounts payable processing. In this role, you will work closely with the accounting team, vendors, and procurement group to ensure accurate invoice matching, timely payments, and seamless vendor relationships.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 2+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience (industrial, distribution, manufacturing, or piping industry background is a plus).

• Software: Proficiency with accounting/ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

• Attention to Detail: Excellent numerical accuracy and analytical troubleshooting skills.

• Communication: Clear professional written and verbal communication skills for cross-departmental coordination and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing: Review, code, and enter vendor invoices with high accuracy into our accounting system.

• Three-Way Matching: Verify invoices against purchase orders (POs) and receiving documents (bills of lading/delivery receipts).

• Payment Processing: Prepare weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.

• Vendor Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, statement reconciliations, and payment status updates.

• Discrepancy Resolution: Partner with logistics, warehouse, and purchasing teams to resolve price or quantity variances.

• Filing & Compliance: Maintain organized electronic AP records and assist with month-end closing tasks and audit requests.
