Investment Officer (Fixed Income-Credit), P3 (Job Opening No. 283241) - Deadline to apply: 23 October 2026 Job Summary Join the Office of Investment Management (OIM) of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) and contribute to managing a globally diversified, multi-asset investment portfolio exceeding $100 billion. OIM actively manages approximately 85% of the Fund’s assets in-house across global equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, timber, commodities, and other investments. This position is located in the Fixed Income Team of OIM . The incumbent reports to the Senior Investment Officer for Credit and, under the overall supervision of the Director of Fixed Income, contributes to the research, analysis, and management of corporate and/or government-related bond portfolios. The incumbent supports fundamental credit research, portfolio monitoring, financial modeling, security and sector analysis, and the development of investment recommendations. The role provides an opportunity to contribute to OIM’s fixed income portfolios, with a focus on U.S. fixed income credit markets , while supporting the Fund’s long‑term investment objectives and fiduciary responsibilities. Job Responsibilities Assist the Senior Investment Officer Credit in conducting fundamental credit research for corporate and/or government‑related bond portfolios. Contribute to achieving long‑term and short‑term performance objectives to outperform return benchmarks. Monitor portfolio holdings and conduct appropriate security analysis at the direction of the Senior Investment Officer Credit. Comply with risk control parameters outlined in the Investments Policy and Procedures Manual with the goal of producing optimal investment returns while avoiding undue risk. Integrate Principles of Responsible Investments into investment analysis and monitor internally and externally managed holdings in accordance with OIM’s fiduciary responsibilities. Conduct periodic sector reviews and present analysis at Portfolio Review Meetings. Perform fundamental credit analysis of issuers across assigned industry sectors and prepare credit research reports and investment memos for portfolio managers and other internal clients. Build and maintain financial models for corporate issuers under coverage and regularly update financial forecasts. Participate in management calls, meetings, and sector conferences to support investment research and analysis. Analyze ETFs, interest rates, capital structures, and corporate ESG data and conduct security and sector analysis using risk and analytical tools. Assist in evaluating the performance of the Fund’s research providers and vendors, including supporting due diligence, analysis, monitoring, and appraisal of external managers. Support the implementation of OIM derivative projects. Develop specific investment recommendations consistent with the Fund’s four investment criteria of safety, profitability, liquidity, and convertibility . Present and discuss investment recommendations with the Senior Investment Officer and the wider Fixed Income team, where appropriate, and participate in discussions on asset allocation. Assist in preparing timely and accurate investment reports for the Representative of the Secretary-General for the Investments of the UNJSPF, the Director of Fixed Income, and relevant governing bodies. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in Business and Administration (MBA), Finance, Economics or related field is required. A first degree level university degree in combination with two additional years of experience in investment management may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. A minimum of five years of experience analyzing corporate securities including ESG considerations is required. Experience in US fixed income credit markets is required. Experience in trading US corporate bond exposures at a large pension fund, investment manager or insurance company is desirable. Experience in analysis of external managers is desirable.
