Senior Project Manager

My client is a design/build commercial contractor specializing in luxury commercial projects. They are seeking a Senior Project Manager with excellent technical and business development skills to manage their largest accounts and manage internal project teams. This person will be an immediate leader on day one, both as a mentor and manager of people. They will enjoy full autonomy, work from home flexibility, and top of the market earnings. Company Size: 50 employees

Role: This is a 90% office-based role, with limited travel (no more than 3 days per month). Run 2-4 projects at a given time, dependent on size and client. Oversee design team and project management teams. Projects: Ground up financial institutions, ground up auto dealerships, ground up commercial offices.

Job Description

Plan, execute, and monitor all phases of the construction project life-cycle, including design, procurement, construction, and closeout. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure project milestones are achieved. Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Prepare and present project reports, including status updates, financial analysis, and risk assessments, to stakeholders and senior management. Manage and mentor project teams, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve project objectives. Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Foster positive relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business opportunities. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to drive continuous improvement in project management processes.

The Successful Applicant

Minimum 7 years experience as a Project Manager in the commercial construction industry. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Estimating experience preferred. Ground up experience preferred. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations. Proficient in project management software and tools. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.

What's on Offer

$115K-$150K base salary. 15% annual bonus target. 5% 401K match. ESOP with 8% annual contribution (in addition to 401K match). 20 days PTO + 10 paid holidays. Loyalty-based raises (tenured PMs earning $170K+)
