Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a difference in the lives of students by providing high-quality speech-language pathology services in a dynamic PreK-8th grade setting. This contract opportunity is based near Gretna, LA, and will run from approximately August 4 through June 24, 2027. Your expertise will help students reach their communication goals and thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications:

  • Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Licensed to practice as an SLP in Louisiana (active and in good standing)
  • Experience working in school environments, specifically PreK-8th grades
  • Strong background in pediatric speech therapy
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to PreK-8th grade students
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of students’ speech, language, and communication needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers
  • Maintain accurate records and document student progress
  • Deliver therapy aligned with school and district goals as well as state and federal guidelines
  • Educate staff and families on strategies to support students’ communication skills
