Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting student success in an educational setting. A dedicated paraprofessional is needed to provide 1:1 assistance to a high school student enrolled in a Life Skills program. In this position, you will:

• Work closely with a student on the autism spectrum, providing consistent support throughout the school day
• Maintain routines and support behavior interventions, helping to keep the student engaged in classroom activities and within the school environment
• Practice effective behavior management strategies, remaining calm and proactive when faced with challenging behavior, including elopement tendencies
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and related stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and optimal learning conditions
• Foster a safe, positive, and nurturing educational experience
• Adapt to potential changes in schedule (current hours are approximately 7:15am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday), ensuring flexibility as needed

We are seeking candidates who bring:

• Experience working in school environments, ideally with students with special needs or within Life Skills classrooms
• Comfort and resilience in managing maximum behavioral challenges in a compassionate and professional manner
• An understanding of autism spectrum disorders and related support strategies
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff and students
• Reliability, patience, and adaptability in dynamic school settings

This position begins August 21, 2026, and continues through June 4, 2027, providing a stable, full-time Monday through Friday schedule of approximately 35 hours per week.
