Details Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a teaching hospital Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30), 36 hours per week Weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays Float required within the OSU health system Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active RN license, Ohio state or compact license required and in hand at time of consideration Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 1 year of PCU/Stepdown experience required (4 years required if primary background is MS/Tele) Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and nasal cannula/non-invasive airway management required Central line care/management, PICC line management, and IV insulin protocol experience preferred 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or Supervisor and the second from a Charge RN or higher; coworker references not accepted Additional Information Provide nursing care to Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC, telemetry, and respiratory patients First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract, including travel to an in-state fingerprinting location if necessary RTO must be submitted and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible for a travel assignment Local candidates accepted at the same rate American Traveler Job ID P-730823.
