CNC Setup Operator

Express Employment Professionals is assisting a local leader in their search to fill a CNC Setup Operator in Bloomington, MN. As a CNC Setup Operator , you will operating a computer numerical controlled lathe or multi-axis with minimal supervision. The position runs production lots, keeps records, communicates with co-workers and managers regarding production runs, and maintaining standards. What's an average day like as a CNC Setup Operator: Setup, load parts and cycle computer numerical control equipment per daily schedule on a lathe Perform inspection of machined products (including documentation of results) Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee. Read, understand, and interpret work instructions/setup documents and standard operating procedures Complete and maintain paperwork for parts. Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development Maintain a clean, organized work area What do we look for in a CNC Setup Operator: High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to perform basic mathematical computations including the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions Follow written and verbal instructions One year related experience, training and/or technical education Proficiency with CNC controls Working knowledge of setup of lathe and multi-axis machines Schedule: 2nd shift 4:30 pm to 3:00 am Monday through Thursday Weekend 6:00 am to 6:00 pm rotating shift, work 3 days, paid for 40 hrs Express Employment Professionals provides one of the most comprehensive benefits packages in the industry to contract workers: Holiday and Vacation Pay Medical Benefits 401K Direct Deposit Weekly Pay Who is Express Employment Professionals?
