Key Responsibilities\n

The Licensed Mental Health Therapist will be responsible for the following:

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' traumatic histories and outline personalized treatment strategies.

• Develop, implement, and continuously adjust individualized treatment plans focusing on healing and resilience, utilizing evidence-based methodologies.

• Deliver therapeutic interventions, including advanced techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to each patient's needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at processing trauma, developing adaptive coping strategies, and supporting holistic healing.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring all aspects of the patient's well-being are addressed.

• Offer crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and providing immediate strategies for management.

• Educate patients and their families about the effects of trauma, available coping mechanisms, and community resources.

• Maintain complete and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA and legal standards within electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily centers on serving individuals who are navigating the challenges associated with trauma, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, neglect, and other critical incidents. Emphasizing a client-centered approach, the therapist will work with diverse populations, adapting their methods to meet the unique needs of each individual while fostering trust and rapport.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, applicants must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
