Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• 12 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Years of experience REQ: 2; will consider 1+ year with Level I/Teaching Facility experience. Drains, monitoring flaps post op, tracheostomy/total laryngectomy care, tube feeding, phlebotomy, IV access, and central line management. Telemetry required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.

Special Requests: No medical marijuana cards accepted.

Unit Details: Adult patient population. ENT, Plastic Surgery Unit caring for patients with cuffed/cuffless tracheostomies, total laryngectomies, carotid blow out precautions, and free flap patients. Tracheostomies, total laryngectomies, free flap monitoring, drain care, tube feeding, wound care.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend required. No call. No more than 7 days of RTO per 13 week contract.

Floating Requirements: Float within scope to meet facility needs.
