Overview
Registered Nurse – PACU in Burlington, Vermont. Start date: 06/18/2026 for a 4-week travel assignment in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,421 to $2,504. Shift: 5x8 Rotating. This travel temporary assignment requires critical care PACU expertise and the ability to work within a high-acuity recovery environment.

Responsibilities
- Deliver post-anesthesia care for adult and pediatric patients in the PACU, including continuous monitoring of vital signs and cardiac rhythm.
- Manage airway, breathing, and circulation; administer medications within scope, and titrate IV drips as needed for stable recovery.
- Assess pain and sedation levels; implement appropriate analgesia and antiemetic strategies; adjust plans per PACU protocols.
- Document patient status, interventions, and progress in the electronic medical record (Epic) with timely charting and handoffs to receiving units.
- Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical teams, and critical care staff; participate in safe patient handoffs and discharge criteria from PACU.
- Floats to related units may be required; weekends and call duties may be assigned according to the schedule.

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in Vermont.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
- Experience: minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience; at least 2 years in PACU; high-acuity PACU experience essential.
- Skills: critical care PACU skills, including arterial lines, multiple titrating drips, and continuous cardiac monitoring.
- Setting experience: prior work in a large teaching hospital preferred; Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required.
- Ability to work in a high-acuity PACU environment; float to related units as needed; full compliance with unit safety and infection control policies.
- Schedule considerations: weekends and call may be required; reliable transportation is recommended due to limited public transit access in the area.
