About the Role:
A dynamic and expanding medical billing organization headquartered in Red Bank, NJ is looking for a meticulous and skilled Medical Billing Account Representative to support their growing team. This remote, full-time opportunity is ideal for professionals who possess strong billing knowledge and a client-focused mindset. Applicants must currently reside on the East Coast.

Work Hours:
Full-time, Monday through Friday
Choose one of the following schedules:

• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay: From $21.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Submit insurance claims with accuracy and attention to deadlines
• Manage follow-up communications on denied or outstanding claims
• Address patient inquiries related to billing via phone
• Support onboarding procedures for new clients
• Confirm benefits and eligibility details for incoming and current clients
• Respond to emails from patients and clinicians within a 24-hour window
• Keep detailed and organized billing documentation
• Offer assistance with general administrative duties, including light social media support
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth and responsive client experience

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in medical billing or related receivables roles
• Solid understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding practices and insurance claim workflows
• Experience working with EMR platforms like Simple Practice or TherapyNotes
• Strong grasp of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality protocols
• Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail
• Clear and professional communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and related software tools
• Self-starter with the ability to stay focused in a remote work environment
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding (minimum 1 year)
• Previous medical billing experience (minimum 2 years)
