Location: Newark, NY 14513
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Unit: Neurobehavioral Rehabilitation Program
Shift: Not specified

Local Candidates: Not Accepted
Traveler Candidates: Accepted
Distance Requirement: Candidate must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Pay Rate:
Traveler: $30–$35/hr

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of LPN/LVN experience
BLS certification — Required
EPIC experience — Required
Skilled Nursing Facility/Nursing Home experience
Behavioral health, dementia, or neurobehavioral experience preferred
Comfortable working in a secured/locked unit
Strong behavioral management and de-escalation skills

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and behavioral disturbances
Administer medications and monitor vital signs, blood glucose, intake/output, and changes in condition
Manage challenging behaviors using de-escalation and behavior-management techniques
Maintain a safe, structured, and secured environment
Document patient care accurately in EPIC
Communicate changes in condition to the interdisciplinary healthcare team
Follow facility policies, safety standards, and behavioral health protocols
