Work Environment

This Full-Time position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Winchester, Virginia. The facility is well-equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and equipment to facilitate effective treatment and ensure optimal patient care. Our team-oriented atmosphere is infused with a culture of continual learning, where collaboration and communication among staff members are encouraged. The schedule allows for a balanced work-life dynamic, with shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients to assess their needs and determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities which may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and gait training to promote recovery.
• Monitoring and documenting patients' progress meticulously while adjusting treatment plans based on their evolving conditions.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care tailored to individual goals.
• Educating patients and their families about exercise regimens and therapeutic protocols to enhance their understanding and commitment to the recovery process.
• Providing training in the use of assistive devices for self-care and mobility as needed.
• Staying abreast of the latest developments in physical therapy by attending workshops and participating in professional networks.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your caseload will vary, encompassing patients recovering from surgical procedures, traumatic injuries, or chronic conditions including but not limited to orthopedic, neurological, and cardiorespiratory issues. You will be empowered to design personalized treatment strategies that cater to the unique physical and emotional needs of your patients. This role is pivotal in fostering positive outcomes and facilitating seamless transitions from rehabilitation to everyday functioning.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate effective interactions with patients, families, and team members.
• Competence in using computer systems for documentation and patient management.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Preferred Experience
