Assistant Coach - Football Strength and Conditioning Overview The Assistant Football Strength & Conditioning Performance Coach will assist the Director of Football Strength and Conditioning with all aspects of the sports performance program, including but not limited to practice and competition activities, player skill development, recruiting, directing and implementing plans for daily practices and competitions, organizing and administering clinics, and overall administrative tasks within the operation of the program. Must demonstrate integrity, leadership, and the ability to motivate, teach, counsel and recruit academically qualified students. Independently take control over specific areas of the Sports Performance program. Responsibilities Assist the Director with all aspects of the sports performance program. Interpret information from technologies that define exactly what each player position is required to do on game day, what qualities make each position successful, and the strengths and weaknesses of athletes. Understand technology and training methods specific to devices used in the program. Lead and manage assigned areas of the Sports Performance program. Minimum Education And Experience Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required (or foreign degree equivalent) with at least 1 year of experience in relevant independent instructional or educational activities; specific minimum experience is at the discretion of the Director of Athletics. Required Qualifications 2-5 years of coaching experience in an intercollegiate environment preferably at a Division I level. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Good organizational, interpersonal communications and computer skills necessary. Preferred Qualifications Prefer at least 1 year in relevant independent or educational activities. Special Physical/Mental Requirements Must be able to lift/move 25lbs or greater. May be required to navigate stairs. Attention to detail essential. Must be able to manage high volume, fast paced environment. Travel may be required. Campus Security Authority Responsibilities This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
