Candidates with Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R), Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P), or Medical Assistant-Hemodialysis Technician (MA-HT) certifications are not eligible for this role.QualificationsMinimum of 6 months of experience as an MA-C in an adult/pediatric outpatient clinic preferred; experience in cardiology is a plus.First-time applicants are welcome.Reliable transportation is required (public transportation is not acceptable).No additional scheduling restrictions.Clinical EnvironmentType of Facility: Outpatient Clinic with a primary care focusAttire: Scrubs will be providedCharting System: Experience with EPIC is preferredResponsibilitiesAdministering medication and allergy testingPerforming vital sign checks, patient history, and lab tests reviewsAssisting with patient procedures, including immunizations and EKGsStocking and managing supplies; scheduling appointmentsFacilitating communication with patients through follow-up calls and pharmacy requestsPatient DemographicsThe role involves working with a diverse patient population, including infants, children, adults, and geriatrics.Additional NotesTravelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities if required. All candidates must be willing to commit to working during holidays as specified. Flexible scheduling and the ability to comply with requests are essential for this position.
