About the job As a Strategic Partner Development Principal Lead, you will develop and manage partnerships with content partners to help the Google Search and Gemini teams achieve their goal of powering inspirational experiences across Google. You will manage existing partnerships, drive new opportunities, negotiate agreements, resolve business issues, and set up business processes as needed. Your work will involve collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Sales teams to support new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that strengthen Google’s online advertising business. Responsibilities Define and lead the execution of strategic partnerships, prioritizing opportunities that drive significant business growth and competitive advantage. Develop and cultivate deep relationships with key partners, serving as a trusted advisor and ensuring alignment on strategic objectives. Negotiate and structure complex partnership agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions. Oversee the integration and implementation of partnerships, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful launch and ongoing operations. Monitor, analyze, and optimize partnership performance, identifying areas for improvement and growth to achieve strategic goals. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, or 8 years with an advanced degree. Experience in the consumer electronics, auto, OEMs, telecom, e‑commerce/retail, apps, ads, gaming, or technology industries. Experience working with C‑level executives and cross‑functionally across multiple levels of management. Experience managing agreements or partnerships. Preferred Qualifications MBA or Master’s degree in a related field. Experience leading complex, cross‑functional partnership initiatives with a significant impact on business outcomes. Understanding of content acquisition and distribution strategies. Ability to identify, evaluate, and prioritize strategic partnership opportunities that align with business objectives. Ability to operate with flexibility in a fluid, constantly evolving and collaborative environment, working cross‑functionally with all levels of management, securing favorable terms, and building consensus. Excellent investigative, communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills. Compensation US: $176,000 - $256,000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits.
