Mind, Body, & Soul Counseling is actively seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated Special Education Program team. In this full-time role, you will provide critical mental health services to students with a range of special needs, ensuring their emotional and psychological well-being within a remote school setting.

This role will be primarily remote, providing you with the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while still contributing to a vital educational program. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and evaluations tailored to the unique needs of each student.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that focus on enhancing emotional well-being and successful integration into the school environment.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for students dealing with ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and ADHD.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing techniques that promote personal development, emotional regulation, and effective coping mechanisms.
\n
• Work collaboratively with educators, school administrators, and other health professionals—including speech therapists and occupational therapists—to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.

• Provide immediate support and crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, ensuring responsive and effective action.
\n
• Educate students and their families about mental health conditions, available resources, and coping strategies through psychoeducation workshops.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation of case notes, treatment plans, and assessments in accordance with legal guidelines and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and departmental training designed to enhance service delivery and professional growth.
\n
• Stay abreast of relevant regulations, best practices, and ethical guidelines within the field of mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on students undergoing special education services. This includes children and adolescents with varying degrees of developmental and emotional needs. Qualifications\n

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• Completion of a Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant post-licensure experience within a clinical setting.
\n
• Solid understanding of mental health disorders and proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities, especially as they relate to special education.
\n
• Experience in administering mental health assessments and developing treatment plans tailored to meet individual needs.
\n
• Skilled in conducting individual and group therapy and experienced in utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities.
\n
• Exceptional crisis intervention skills with the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
\n
• Sound judgment, strong ethical standards, and the ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients.
\n
• Familiar with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficient in digital communication tools.
\n
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, ensuring clarity in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working directly within educational settings, particularly with students who have diverse learning needs, is highly desirable. Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and experience conducting psychoeducational workshops will provide candidates with a competitive edge.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 60,000 to USD 104,000, dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.
