Imagine a fulfilling career that not only enhances communication but also transforms lives. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the breathtaking haven of Honolulu, your vital work will extend beyond simply addressing speech and swallowing disorders. You'll be positioned at the forefront of personal growth, reigniting confidence, and strengthening connection — from helping small children articulate their dreams to assisting seniors in reclaiming their independence.
This remarkable position offers the chance to engage with a diverse population in a multi-faceted setting that combines outpatient therapy with the occasional inpatient support. Whether your passion lies in guiding children through the intricacies of language, managing adult neurological conditions, or aiding older adults in cognitive rehabilitation, this role offers both challenge and reward in an environment that embraces flexibility.
Position Highlights
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
- Create tailor-made treatment plans addressing both immediate and long-term needs in communication, cognition, and swallowing.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focused on enhancing fluency, voice, language, and swallowing skills.
- Collaborate seamlessly with a network of professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to forge holistic care strategies.
- Provide education to patients and their families that encourages progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Conduct occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure a comprehensive approach to care from start to finish.
- Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Commit to ongoing professional growth by staying abreast of developments within the field through continuous education and team collaboration.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is a must if you are not yet ASHA certified.
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
Core Competencies
- Proven expertise in evidence-based therapy methods catering to various ages, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities with all stakeholders—patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams alike.
- Skilled at adapting therapy sessions to accommodate a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical judgment complemented by excellent problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and documentation practices.
Our Offerings
- Competitive salary reflective of your experience and expertise.
- Flexible work schedules promoting a healthy balance between personal and professional life.
- Opportunities for specialization in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric care.
- Comprehensive paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
- Choices in medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage.
- Support for ongoing education and professional advancement.
- A supportive, collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional care and fostering lifelong learning.
A Career Path That Moves with You
In this inspiring position, your contributions go far beyond simply providing speech therapy; they encompass being an integral part of a community-driven mission aimed at restoring voices, fortifying communication, and creating joy in the sharing of human experiences.
Join a team of clinicians who genuinely cherish one another, in a workplace that upholds collaboration as its core principle. Every patient's journey is unique — we entrust you with the narrative that deserves to be told.
Life in Honolulu Awaits You

Who You Might Be
We are in search of a Speech Language Pathologist whose motivations blend clinical excellence with heartfelt empathy. You are the individual who sees unexpressed thoughts in a shy child, who recognizes the resilience within the communication struggles of an adult recovering from a stroke.
