HR I9 Administrator - UREGNT!

A well-known restaurant chain is looking for two detail-oriented I-9 Compliance Specialists to join a focused audit and correction project. You'll be part of a small, easy‑going team tackling a large volume of I-9 remediation work with no micromanagement and real autonomy. This role is fully in office in Pasadena, CA and a temp role for up to two months. What You'll Be Doing Review I-9 forms across a portfolio of restaurant locations and identify errors – missing fields, incorrect issuing authorities, incomplete sections, and more. Reach out to Restaurant Managers to flag errors and coordinate corrections at the employee level; follow up persistently to keep the project on schedule. Work directly with Team Members to resolve Section 1 errors and collect required documents or attachments. Print, scan, and physically process corrected I‑9 documentation. Provide compliant guidance to Managers and Team Members – never specifying citizenship status or influencing document selection. Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date audit logs throughout the project. Escalate unresolved or high‑risk compliance issues to the HRIS Manager and/or HR Business Partner. Verify completed corrections and restart the cycle if forms are still inaccurate. What We're Looking For I‑9 experience is non‑negotiable – you’ve worked with I‑9 forms and understand the compliance requirements. Exceptionally detail‑oriented – you catch things others miss and take pride in accuracy. Comfortable following up with managers persistently and professionally without letting anything fall through the cracks. Trustworthy and discreet – you’ll be handling sensitive, confidential employee information every day. Self‑directed – you don’t need hand‑holding to manage your workload and stay on pace.
