About the Role
The Company is seeking an AVP for Acquisition Fraud Strategy and Model Monitoring. This multi-functional role is pivotal in the credit fraud acquisitions strategy team, with a primary focus on overseeing the performance of fraud models, conducting in-depth data analytics to identify and address model performance issues, and developing action plans for models that are deteriorating. The successful candidate will work closely with model developers and the credit strategy validation team to create remediation plans and will be involved in the evaluation of new fraud models and technology tools. Additionally, the role requires the development of enhanced monitoring reporting, supporting the implementation of fraud strategies, and ensuring that the best available tools and scores are used in the strategies. Applicants for this role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years' of experience in building analytically derived strategies within financial services, or a Master's degree with an advanced analytic focus. A strong background in statistical tools such as SAS, Python, and Tableau is essential, as is expert-level proficiency in Excel. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the consumer credit lending lifecycle, fraud models, and model evaluation metrics. Experience in retail, business, installment loans, or private label credit is also required. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to work through uncertainty, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
