RRT | Registered Respiratory Therapist - Critical Care

Position Overview: Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist providing vital respiratory assessment, support, and treatment in acute care, emergency, and outpatient settings. This role primarily involves night shifts of 12 hours, totaling 48 hours per pay period, within a regional healthcare facility in the Pacific Northwest.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver emergency respiratory care including artificial respiration and cardiopulmonary resuscitation assistance.
• Monitor patients' physiological responses such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry, collaborating with physicians when adverse reactions occur.
• Perform diagnostic testing including arterial blood gases (ABGs) and electrocardiograms (EKGs).
• Operate and manage respiratory devices like high flow oxygen systems, BiPAP, mechanical ventilators, aerosol generators, and environmental control systems according to treatment protocols.
• Provide training and support to clinical teams within your area of expertise.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and accurately document all relevant data in electronic or written formats.

Education and Experience:

• Associate degree from an accredited Respiratory Care Program is required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC.
• State Respiratory Therapist license applicable to the Pacific Northwest region.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in critical care settings is essential.
