Referral & Advocacy Growth Lead
Are you a strategic innovator with a passion for driving customer-driven growth? We’re seeking a dynamic Referral & Advocacy Growth Lead to take the helm of our referral programs, crafting compelling pathways that turn satisfied customers into powerful advocates. This is a high-ownership, entrepreneurial role that offers the chance to shape the future of customer acquisition and advocacy for a leading brand in financial software solutions. You'll own the end-to-end referral experience, from ideation to scaling, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to build, test, and optimize innovative referral initiatives that deliver measurable results.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience in consumer growth, lifecycle marketing, product marketing, referral, or advocacy roles
- Proven track record of managing growth programs from strategy to execution and measurement
- Deep understanding of referral mechanics, including incentive design, conversion funnels, lifecycle triggers, and fraud prevention
- Strong creative and analytical abilities, capable of originating innovative ideas and interpreting performance data
- Experience collaborating with product teams to embed growth initiatives into the customer experience
- Entrepreneurial mindset, able to work quickly in a complex, matrixed environment and navigate ambiguity
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience in the fintech or financial services industry
- Familiarity with digital incentives, loyalty programs, or viral growth tactics
- Knowledge of referral technology platforms and tools
- Prior experience working on large-scale, multi-channel marketing initiatives
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field; advanced degrees a plus
- Demonstrable experience building scalable referral and advocacy programs over multiple years
Other Requirements
- This position is hybrid, based in Mountain View, CA, with flexibility to work remotely as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, experiment, and iterate rapidly
- Willingness to partner with legal, security, and compliance teams to ensure program integrity
