Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of client mental health to determine their therapeutic needs and goals.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s unique challenges.

• Engage in regular therapy sessions, offering various modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and group therapy settings.

• Monitor client progress and adapt treatment strategies as necessary, ensuring alignment with each client's evolving needs.

• Provide referrals to external healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists and social workers, when medication management or supplementary support is indicated.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of client interactions and progress within EHR systems to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will serve a diverse client population dealing with various mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Each client presents a unique set of experiences, and your background in cultural competence will enhance the therapeutic relationship, helping clients feel understood and supported in their journey toward mental health recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.

• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in the mental health field, including individual and group therapy settings.

• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders and cultural competence, ensuring respectful and inclusive therapy practices.

• Strong crisis intervention skills, with the ability to maintain composure and effectiveness during high-stress situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
