Director of Social Commerce

Remote across the United States or Canada

Up to $180k USD plus bonus tied to channel performance

I’m helping an exceptional founder led consumer brand find someone to head up social commerce and turn TikTok Shop into a major commercial channel.

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity.

The business has created a brilliant, category defining travel product, sold more than 3.7 million units across over 100 countries and built a brand with a highly engaged international customer base.

TikTok Shop is already generating six figure monthly GMV and millions of impressions, despite never having a true owner. The founders have seen enough to know the potential is significant and are now making social commerce one of their biggest strategic bets.

The immediate goal is to build a repeatable creator and commercial engine capable of reaching $1 million in monthly TikTok Shop GMV.

You will own:

• The United States social commerce strategy and commercial performance

• Creator acquisition, outreach, sampling and onboarding at scale

• Creator tiering, incentives, education and community

• Identifying patterns in winning content and turning them into better creator briefs

• Channel economics across commission, advertising, sampling and profitability

• TikTok creator events and relevant industry gatherings

• The systems, processes and reporting needed to scale consistently

• Building and leading a lean, high performing team

This is not a role for someone who wants to manage an established machine. You will build it.

Initially, you will be close to the detail and prepared to test, learn and solve problems quickly. As the channel matures, the role will develop into broader strategic ownership across social commerce, including launching YouTube Shopping and helping successful creator content drive growth across Meta and other channels.

We are looking for someone who has personally driven meaningful TikTok Shop growth for a consumer brand and understands how to build a creator affiliate programme at serious scale.

You should be commercial, data led, resourceful and comfortable moving between strategy and execution. You will communicate directly, challenge assumptions and take genuine ownership of the outcome.

The role is remote across the United States or Canada. Some travel to creator and platform events will be required.

Compensation is up to $180k USD plus a bonus tied directly to channel performance.
