Lab Assistant

Job Description

Status: 20 hours per week

Shift: Rotating

Ready to bring energy and enthusiasm to the lab? Here's what you'll be doing:

Keep things moving: Handle order entry, specimen and material pick-ups, transportation, tracking, receipt, and processing—basically, you'll be the lab's logistics superstar!
Master the tech: Get comfortable navigating various information systems to keep everything organized and running smoothly.
Equipment extraordinaire: Operate and maintain pre and post analytic laboratory equipment, including laboratory automation systems. You'll become best friends with our lab tech!
Be the friendly face: Interact with patients, laboratory staff, and caregivers with genuine courtesy and professionalism—you'll be the welcoming presence that makes everyone's day better!

All of this happens under regular supervision and according to established procedures, so you'll never be flying solo!

Qualifications:
Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High school graduate or equivalent required.
Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Experience in a medical setting, hospital or clinic laboratory preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology and human anatomy preferred.
