Direct Counsel represents a prestigious AmLaw firm seeking a Transactional Associate (Class of 2022 or 2023) to join its Energy & Infrastructure team in Houston, Texas. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with strong transactional experience who is interested in sophisticated energy, infrastructure, and project finance matters.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex commercial and energy transactions, including drafting and negotiating transactional documents, coordinating deal execution, and supporting financing and commodities-related matters. Experience in the power, renewables, natural gas, or upstream oil & gas sectors is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate transaction and commercial agreement documents
- Support structured energy, infrastructure, and finance transactions
- Assist with power purchase agreements and commodities trading matters
- Coordinate due diligence, deal execution, and closing processes
- Work directly with clients, partners, and cross-functional legal teams
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Class of 2022 or 2023 with transactional law firm experience
- Energy or infrastructure transaction experience preferred
- Strong drafting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar
