As a Security Officer - N Broadway St. in La Porte, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and conduct routine patrols to help deter incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in the job state and a TSA-issued TWIC. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $15.24 / Hour Driver's License & TWIC required Job Schedule: Mon 05:30 AM - 05:30 PM Tue 05:30 AM - 05:30 PM Wed 05:30 AM - 11:30 AM Sun 05:30 AM - 05:30 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, contractor documentation, and vehicle entry requirements in accordance with site procedures. Maintain accurate access-control logs, issue and recover authorized access materials, and report access discrepancies or unusual activity to designated personnel. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency and security-related response protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. Possess a TSA-issued TWIC. A Guard Card/License is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
