Note: Candidates must have 5+ years of litigation experience in private practice, with meaningful exposure to insurance defense and/or complex civil litigation from inception through trial or settlement. Job Description Lead and manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution — including case strategy, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations Provide strategic counsel to clients on litigation risks, opportunities, and regulatory compliance issues arising in the context of active disputes Interface directly with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to drive favorable outcomes and protect client interests Advise clients on regulatory and compliance matters connected to ongoing litigation Develop and maintain strong client relationships that build trust, deepen engagement, and generate business development opportunities Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver integrated, high-quality legal services Qualifications 5+ years of litigation experience in private practice (required) In-depth knowledge of insurance defense and/or complex civil litigation, from case inception through trial or settlement Active Nebraska Bar license, or eligibility and commitment to obtain licensure Strong written and oral advocacy skills — able to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to clients and in court Client-focused mindset with a track record of responsiveness and service quality Ability to work independently on cases while contributing effectively to a collaborative team Initiative-driven: takes ownership, seeks responsibility, and manages matters with appropriate autonomy Why You Will Love Working Here This firm has built something genuinely worth joining: a culture where attorneys are trusted to lead, supported when they need it, and recognized for doing great work.
