Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized assessments and observational insights.
• Create individualized treatment plans that tackle both immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
• Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to formulate cohesive care strategies.
• Provide education for patients and families to support their progression beyond clinical sessions.
• Assist with occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the treatment process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Engage in ongoing education and peer collaboration to stay abreast of developments in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
