Exciting opportunity on our Medical-Surgical Units: Our Medical-Surgical units are designed to cater to patients recovering from surgeries, managing chronic illnesses, and undergoing complex treatments, with low patient-to-nurse ratios, ensuring personalized care.

• 5E: Mixed Medical/Surgical Unit: Specializes in comprehensive care for a diverse range of medical and surgical patients. This unit is ideal for nurses who enjoy variety in their work.
• 6E: Cardiac Care Medical/Surgical Unit: Specializes in acute and chronic cardiac conditions within a general medical/surgical setting. Team members work closely with the hospital medicine team to care for patients with heart disease, heart failure, and those recovering from cardiac procedures.
• 7E: Post-Surgical Care and Oncology Medical/Surgical Unit: Offers a unique blend of post-surgical recovery and oncology/chemotherapy care. Our skilled team supports patients through the critical phases following surgery and provides specialized care to those undergoing cancer treatment.

Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age-specific components.
• Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care.
• Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines.
• Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Provides competent, evidence-based care to assigned patients with oversight of licensed vocational nurses/nursing assistants as appropriate to the setting.
• Assists in directing the provision of nursing education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization.
• Partners with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team to promote effective and safe transitions across the health care continuum.

Preferred Experience: 1-2 years Med/Surg experience

Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory

Work Schedule: Day and night shifts available, to include rotating weekends and holidays. Eligible for Alternate Work Schedule (AWS); work 72 hours, get paid for 80 hours, after orientation is complete.

• Day Shift: 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Night Shift: 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
