Building Information Management Coordinator

Role Description

The Mayo Clinic BIM Coordinator supports the enterprise BIM process along with regional BIM efforts. The BIM Coordinator will:

• Support the enterprise facilities BIM program by organizing Revit files.
• Work with various teams in updating BIM facility packages.
• Manage and facilitate the sharing of all BIM data authored in the database with all other data consumers.
• Support regional design teams by administering the Autodesk Construction Cloud tool set and providing general BIM/Revit support.
• Implement, manage, and support the development of Revit model and BIM enterprise best practices for AEC project deliverables as defined by the enterprise BIM standards.
• Incorporate regional feedback into the Mayo Clinic enterprise BIM standards and best practices as needed.
• Function as BIM project managers for enterprise and regional design & construction projects.
• Act as a BIM mentor for the regional planning and design teams.
• Be responsible for content creation and maintenance of Mayo Clinic’s enterprise Revit templates, Revit content management tool, seed files, regional templates, Autodesk Construction Cloud tools, and Revit database updates.
• Communicate with clients internally and externally for problem solving and BIM support.
• Monitor project delivery to ensure compliance with the agreed-upon strategy, enterprise standards, and processes.
• Provide technical staff with assistance performing difficult or complicated tasks and support for training for departmental staff and end-users when needed.
• Coordinate the application of BIM technologies at the enterprise and regional level by working with all building and infrastructure disciplines.
• Create clash detection reports and lead clash detection meetings with design teams for internal projects as needed.
• Function as the owner’s BIM representative for external projects that require managing BIM deliverables.
• Coordinate with the Mayo Clinic Reality Capture team on all aspects of RECAP as related to BIM assets.
• Assist, or fill in for, the BIM manager as needed.
• Lead the project-based BIM strategy call and kick-off meetings for projects.
• Ensure the BIM models adhere to all Mayo Clinic enterprise BIM standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with BIM processes and tools, particularly Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Strong communication skills for internal and external client interactions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively.
• Technical proficiency in BIM technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in BIM coordination and project management.
• Familiarity with AEC project deliverables and enterprise BIM standards.
• Ability to create and maintain Revit templates and content management tools.
• Experience in leading clash detection meetings and creating reports.
