Location Atlanta, GA Department Information The School of Interactive Computing ( at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure‑track faculty position. Applicants will be considered at all ranks. Beyond our hiring focus areas mentioned above, the 50+ faculty members of the School of Interactive Computing also pursue research on artificial intelligence and machine learning; human‑centered computing and cognitive science; information visualization and visual analytics; learning science and technology, and computing education; robotics; computational journalism; ubiquitous and wearable computing; and virtual and augmented environments. Together, these areas form a rich, panoramic view of the myriad ways computing and computational devices interact with their human creators and users. Job Summary We seek applications in the broader areas of Computer Graphics , Computer Vision , and Social Computing . While these areas are of strategic importance to the School and the Institute, we will consider truly outstanding candidates in all areas of computing research that support the School's interdisciplinary mission and expand it in strategic directions. Responsibilities Teach one course per semester. Provide service to the School and the Institute. Engage in substantive research with collaborators in other disciplines. Required Qualifications Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, or related field, prior to the start (hire) date. Preferred Qualifications Suitable candidates must have an established international reputation and have demonstrated exceptional impact, productivity, and leadership. Candidates are also expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students through their research, teaching or service activities.
