Litigation Attorney

Baltimore County, Maryland Compensation: $110,000–$150,000 Base Salary + Bonus Breza Law is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its growing practice. This opportunity is well suited for an attorney with a strong litigation background who has handled matters involving commercial and corporate disputes, estates and trusts, fiduciary matters, and related civil litigation. The ideal candidate will be comfortable independently managing matters, developing litigation strategy, communicating directly with clients, and handling cases through discovery, motions practice, settlement negotiations, hearings, and trial when necessary. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload involving commercial, corporate, estates and trusts, fiduciary, and other civil litigation matters Represent businesses, business owners, individuals, beneficiaries, fiduciaries, and other clients in contested matters Handle disputes involving contracts, business relationships, ownership interests, corporate or partnership matters, and other commercial issues Handle contested estate and trust matters, including disputes involving fiduciaries, beneficiaries, administration, and related issues Conduct legal research and develop case strategy Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, briefs, settlement agreements, and other litigation documents Take and defend depositions and participate in mediation and settlement negotiations Appear at hearings, motions proceedings, and trials Communicate directly with clients regarding strategy, case developments, risk, and resolution options Work collaboratively with other attorneys and staff across the firm's practice areas Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active Maryland Bar membership and authorization to practice in Maryland Approximately 5+ years of litigation experience preferred Substantive experience with commercial or corporate litigation Experience with estates and trusts litigation, fiduciary disputes, or contested estate matters strongly preferred Experience independently managing litigation matters from initial evaluation through resolution Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills Experience with discovery, depositions, motions practice, negotiations, hearings, and trial preparation Strong client communication and relationship-management skills Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a smaller, collaborative law firm environment What the Firm Offers Base salary of $110,000–$150,000, based on experience Bonus opportunity Opportunity to handle substantive matters with significant client contact and responsibility Direct access to firm leadership Collaborative environment with less bureaucracy than a large law firm Opportunity to work across commercial, corporate, estates and trusts, and related litigation matters Ability to make a meaningful contribution to the continued growth of the firm's litigation practice This opportunity may be particularly attractive to an attorney who enjoys substantive litigation work, values direct client relationships, and wants greater responsibility and autonomy within an established law firm. #J-18808-Ljbffr Growth Solutions Team
