HR Intern

Raycap, Inc., is an industry leader in manufacturing solutions for telecommunications, renewable energy, transportation, defense and other applications.

Under the guidance of the HR team, the HR Intern will support the department in various HR functions, including recruitment tracking, onboarding, employee engagement, and administrative tasks. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in HR operations, develop professional skills, and understand organizational HR practices. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a keen interest in human resources management.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic understanding of HR principles and practices
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Prior internship or experience in HR or administrative roles is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Support with development of onboarding and training of new hires in manufacturing.
• Maintain and handle sensitive employee records with strict confidentiality
• Ensure compliance with COBRA, HIPAA, EEO, ERISA, AAP (if applicable), and participate in mandated reporting
• Provide excellent customer service and support to employees
• Plan and coordinate internal employee engagement events
• Keep employee records and HR databases current and accurate
• Support the preparation of HR reports and management documentation
• Create badges for new hires and set up time clock systems
• Respond to employee inquiries related to HR policies and processes
• Assist with special projects as assigned
