This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant hospitality environment while working in a city rich with history and community spirit.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentationManage and supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluationsEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and sanitation proceduresDevelop and update menus in collaboration with culinary staff, considering customer preferences and seasonal ingredientsControl inventory, order supplies, and manage food costs to meet budget targetsMaintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentationCollaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfactionMonitor kitchen equipment and facilities, coordinating maintenance and repairs as neededFoster a positive, team-oriented work environment that encourages professional growthSkills and Qualifications:Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Executive Chef, or similar leadership role in a hospitality settingStrong knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standardsExcellent leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under pressureCreative culinary skills with a passion for quality and innovationBudget management and cost control experienceFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as requiredCulinary degree or equivalent certification preferredAt the Confluence Hotel, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming atmosphere that celebrates the local history and community.
