About the Role: The New Construction Lead HVAC Installer plays a critical role in overseeing and executing the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in new construction projects across the United States. This position requires leading a team of installers to ensure that HVAC systems are installed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. The lead installer will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and other trades to coordinate schedules and resolve any installation challenges. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship are essential to deliver systems that meet client specifications and performance expectations. Ultimately, this role ensures that new buildings are equipped with reliable and energy-efficient HVAC systems that contribute to occupant comfort and building sustainability. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid HVAC certification Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC installation, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and installation techniques. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with energy-efficient and green building HVAC technologies. Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations specific to new construction. Previous experience working on large-scale commercial or residential construction projects. Basic computer skills for reporting and communication purposes. Responsibilities: Lead and supervise the installation of HVAC systems in new construction projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards. Coordinate daily work schedules and tasks for the installation team to meet project deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturer instructions to accurately install HVAC equipment and ductwork. Conduct quality inspections throughout the installation process to identify and resolve any issues promptly. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems within the overall construction timeline. Maintain accurate records of materials used, work completed, and any modifications made during installation. Train and mentor junior installers to develop their skills and promote best practices on the job site. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including safety protocols and environmental standards. Skills: The required skills enable the lead installer to effectively interpret technical documents and lead a team in the precise installation of HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for coordinating with diverse teams and mentoring junior staff.
