Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Wilmington, DE , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.96 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeThur05:00 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an industrial chemical processing location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor access requirements, and support site access procedures for employees, contractors, and deliveries.
Prepare clear reports on incidents, patrol findings, and daily activities, and follow location protocols related to restricted areas, hazardous work environments, and emergency notifications.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
